About Me
Ai was born and raised in Toyama, Japan, and went to University in Nara for B.A. in Psychology. After Ai graduated from the University in Nara, she moved to the U.S. for Master of Occupational Therapy, and began her career as an occupational therapist in 2011, working with adults/seniors with various physical, mental, and cognitive challenges.
Even though Ai felt very rewarding to be able to help people go back to their healthy life and be "functional," she always felt something was missing and was not treating the root/cause of "malfunction/sickness/challenges."
Just before Covid hit the world, Ai fortunately found Brain Gym created by Paul E. Dennison and MNRI (Masgutova Neurosensorimotor Reflex Integration). Being a mom of two boys who were 3 years old and 6 years old at that time, the more she studied and practiced MNRI and Brain gym, the more she understood why she and her boys were having challenges in their daily life, even though they seem to be healthy, functional people at school or work.
She started treating children (baby to late 20s) with learning and developmental challenges for a few years as well as parents of the children at an outpatient clinic and MNRI family conferences. She has been reassuring the benefits and effectiveness of MNRI approaches.
Ai currently enjoys her practice providing MNRI sessions in person with individuals of all ages and abilities. Ai is also growing her passion for kendo (Japanese martial arts) and currently teaches people aged from 6 years old to late 60s at Camas kendo dojo.
